Graduates of the programme in interlingual communication will be professionals capable of working in various areas of business, in public and state services, as well as organizations and cultural institutions that have extensive international contacts and an international clientele. The programme will also train them for working in various European Union institutions that have expressed a need for precisely this kind of staff following Slovenia's accession to the EU and have experienced a shortfall in graduates with these skills. We therefore believe that satisfying the need for such staff capable of working independently and competently in a multilingual and multicultural environment is of vital significance if Slovenia wishes to be an equal partner and participant in international contacts, especially within the European Union.
