JOINT MASTER'S DEGREE

Joint Master's Degree Programme Interpreting (Slovene-English-German) has been developed by the Department of Translation, Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana and the Institute of Theoretical and Applied Translation Studies, University of Graz. Both institutions are members of the international association of Higher Education institutions teaching translation and interpreting CIUTI and the European consortium EMCI which proves their internationally recognized high quality in teaching standards. The joint degree builds on the already existing MA programmes in interpreting and offers the students a selection of the best elements at both institutions. The additional virtue of the joint degree is that students have to spend at least one semester studying at the partner institutions and gather at least 30 ECTS points. The studens thus not only get into direct contact with the culture and language of both languages they work with but also benefit from a wide selection of translations seminars at both universities.
